Most internal combustion motors that are air cooled will burn skin if you touch it.  I would say temps are somewhere between 250-400 degrees Fahrenheit.  If you are going to enclose it consider using cement backer board on the inside fastened to studs with an air gap of 2 inches between the cement board and combustibles such as 2x4s.  The cement board usually sells for $11/sheet at a hardware store and a sheet is 3&#039;x5&#039; or 15 square feet.  This would probably be the cheapest way to construct.</description>
