Kipor IG6000 6000 Watt Inverter Generator

This is a new Kipor Sinemaster IG6000 (was called KGE6000Ti) Digital Inverter generator with electric start. It has dual voltage – 120V and 240V output on the 50AMP RV (on large motorhomes and 5th wheel) receptacle. This generator looks like the smaller KGE3500Ti but is bigger all around. You can start the engine like starting a car with the electric start. It is brand new in box and in stock ready to ship by freight service. This generator has the 50 AMP (fit most large motorhomes with adapter) and 30 AMP (120V) twist lock receptacle as well as two standard 20 Amp (120V) receptacles. It also has a 12V DC output (charging cord included). 2 years warranty, we have a repair center and stock most of the parts.

1 Star ig 6000 kipor inverter
dead battery, how’s that for a power outage problem with a no pull start option!

4 Stars Honda Clone: Quiet, Reliable and Good Value for Money
Bought this for emergency use. It weighs about the same (240lbs) as the comparable 6000 watt Honda inverter but costs much less and provides the same quiet usable power. After mounting the small wheels, adding oil and gas (uses regular) and charging the battery (electric start only) it started right up. Unlike cheaper generators, it produces a pure sinewave at exactly 60Hz and powers even sensitive devices such as computers, audio-video electronics and even our forced-air furnace, which is very picky about clean power. The $700 Colman Powermate we had before would not power the forced-air furnace. The Powermate had a large muffler and was relatively quiet but the Kipor is much quieter, using an even bigger muffler and padded enclosure. In addition, the Powermate needed to run at 3600 RPM all the time to produce the needed 60Hz output. The Kipor, like the Honda, runs only as fast as needed to provide the electrical power demanded. One problem with the unit we received was that the neutral and hot outputs on the 120V sockets were reversed (240V socket was OK). Even with this reversal everything ran but the forced-air furnace (this is how we discovered the problem). It took about 20 minutes to take off the side cover, unscrew the wires to the sockets and screw them back correctly. Now it powers everything without a hiccup.

2 Stars product ok amazon not so ok
purchased this product online to save 150.00 when the item arrived the battery was dead. no problem put it on charge and it will be ok. wrong battery would not take a charge. this item must have been sitting in a warehouse forever and no quality control was ever considered about looking into this. then after that problem was fixed the fuel filter on it kept clogging. there was setiment in the tank but the filter itself was just to fine for a fuel filter. after replacing the filter with a generic inline fuel filter and replacing the battery the genset itself worked good. take this revie for what its worth i will never order anything this big offline again i will pay the extra 150 to buy at a local dealer that way someone is close by to take care of the problems instead of having to do it myself.

4 Stars Kipor Work Horse – Good Customer Service
I’ve owned my Kipor 6000 watt generator for over a year now and have used it extensively 5 times running over 100 hours each of the 5 uses. Its not perfect. It is hard to start even after running for hours. I’m sure its a carb setting, but I haven’t taken it in to be serviced. I use it to power my 5th wheel RV (with 50 amp service and two 15k ac units) at the NASCAR races. In the summer months, it runs from the time we arrive, until we leave; with the exception of refueling.

Its a work horse. The only time we throw a generator breaker is when the wife forgets to turn an AC off prior to using the microwave. Let me talk about Kipor customer service. I’ve had two chances to contact Kipor customer service. Both times they were very helpful and supportive. All four original wheels had to be replaced the first 6 months or so. The generator was just too heavy for the original wheels and the bearings and tread separated from the wheel. Second time, the gas gauge stopped working and the lens fogged up to where the needle could not be seen. In both instances, they quickly shipped replacement parts. I like this generator.

2 Stars INVERTOR FAILURE
PURCHASED KIPOR6000 USED LESS THAN TEN HOURS, WAS A BACKUP UNIT. WAS MANUFACTUERED IN 2006. WHEN I GOT IT LAST FALL EVERYTHING WORKED GREAT, PUT IT AWAY FOR THE WINTER. SPRING STARTUP-RED OVERLOAD LITE BLINKING=NO AC… HAD A HORRIBLE TIME GETTING HELP AND A DIAGNOSIS SO ON THE WEB I GO TO COMPILE INFO AND SERV/REPAIR MANUALS TO FIGURE THIS THING OUT. GOOD DIAGNOSIS MATERIALS. PROVED OUT THAT THE INVERTOR HAD FAILED SITTING OVER WINTER. A HUGE SOLID STATE $1,300 UNIT. WAS SHOCKED AT THE REPAIR COST AND THE FACT THAT NOW I FIND THAT THIS IS NOT UNCOMMON A FAILURE WITH THIS UNIT. POSSIBLY A COLD TEMP RELATED FAILURE?

KIPOR WOULD DO NOTHING AS TO WARRANTY. [SECOND OWNWER THING].

THE NEW INVERTOR LOOKS LIKE A REDESIGN, SURE HOPE THIS AN UPDATE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IF I HAD TO DO IT OVER KNOWING THE INVERTOR PROBLEM, NO WAY I WOULD BY THIS CHINA SPECIAL. WAS A POOR INVESTMENT FOR SURE.!!!! ENDED UP BEING A THROW AWAY UNIT …..
